Elderly nutrition
Persons 60 years of age and older, and their spouses may participate in the elderly nutrition program in Siouxland. In Sioux City, meals are served Tuesday-Friday at Riverside Lutheran Church, 1817 Riverside Blvd.; on Monday at Riverside Gardens’ Community Room, 715 Bruner Ave., Fairmount Park, 210 S. Fairmount St., and Centennial Manor, 441 W. Third St.
A suggested contribution is $3.75 or what each person can afford without causing a financial hardship.
Reservations are required a day in advance by calling the Sergeant Bluff site at 943-4669 or the Connections Area Agency on Aging nutrition office at 279-6900 ext. 25. For more information about other available meal sites, call 279-6900.

Monday: Meatloaf in onion gravy, baked potato/ margarine, California blend, bread/ margarine/ sour cream, peaches
Tuesday: White chicken chili/ great northern beans, cut corn, side salad/ dressing, dinner roll/ margarnie, mandarin oranges
Wednesday: Pork loin in gravy, baby red potatoes, spinach, salt free bread, birthday cake or white square cake
Thursday: Meatball sub/ spaghetti sauce, hot dog bun, mashed potato, brussels sprouts, strawberry shortcake
Friday: Grilled chicken breast, leaf lettuce & tomato, hamburger bun, brown rice, green & gold beans, banana
All meals come with a 2% or skim milk carton and coffee.

South Sioux City Senior Center

Monthly events, Card Club, every Monday and Friday. Pool every day, with pool tournaments the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and in-house tournaments the first and third Tuesday. Friday Nite Jam Session every Friday night.
Daily meals, served from noon to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except on evening meal Monday. Pre-registration the day before is appreciated. Suggested donation is $3 per meal for persons 60 and over; $5 for persons under 60; all carryouts, $5. For more information, call (402) 494-1500.

Dakota Senior Meals and Meals on Wheels are all prepared on site and served from noon to 1 p.m. 5 days a week, except closed on federal holidays.
Suggested donation is $3.50 or what each person can afford without causing a financial hardship.
For persons age 60 /older and their spouses. No extra fee for seniors’ meals on wheels or take outs.
Reservations are needed a day in advance 232-0808.
Under 60 you are welcome to purchase a meal for $6.60
