Erin Hansbrough, co-owner of Grassroots Yoga, said her business will be moving to a larger location this month.
After two successful years in business, Albuquerque’s Grassroots Yoga is moving to new digs and is expanding its services.
The studio, known partially for its acrobatic yoga program and teacher training, is moving to 4310 Lomas Blvd. NE on Nov. 25. The studio will operate until then at its current location across from the Hiland Theater at 4817 Central Ave. NE.
According to co-owner Erin Hansbrough[1] , the new space is larger, 2,000-square-feet versus 1,500-square-feet, and will have upgrades. The upgrades include a massage room and a meeting room. The meeting room, she said, can be used for childcare during classes and for one-on-one smaller group yoga sessions, as well as Ayurvedic consulting. The new space will have dedicated dressing rooms as well.
“It’s a quieter location with better visibility,” Hansbrough said. The new space was formerly the Barrett House Attic thrift store, which closed this summer.
Grassroots offers classes in alignment-based vinyasa yoga, yin yoga and acrobatic yoga. It is set to begin its five-month and 18-month teacher training program in January.
“Next summer, we’ll also offer business training for yoga teachers, massage therapists and other micro-business owners who want to make a sustainable living serving their communities,” Hansbrough said.
