Microsoft has announced a collaboration with Jillian Michaels, Tracy Anderson, Insanity coach Shaun T and P90X coach Tony Horton in "Xbox Fitness"[2] for the Xbox One.

The fitness program links up to the Xbox One's Kinect camera (an upgrade on the Xbox 360's optional sensor) and can assess participants' muscle engagement, balance, tempo, form, and heart rate.

As such, it's a challenger to the Wii U's November release "Wii U Fit" as well as pre-existing fitness games such as 2012's "Nike+ Kinect Training" on Xbox 360, the "Zumba Fitness" series and Adidas's miCoach for 360 and PlayStation 3.

Due before the end of the year, "Xbox Fitness"[3] will make use of an "Xbox Fitness Pass" that lasts until December 2014, included with Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, with plans for extra content to be made available for purchase and the unlimited access "Xbox Fitness Pass" being sold separately from 2015.
