Reebok's Fithub: The newest fitness trend, shop and get a workout - Examiner.com

The newest trend that Reebok[1] is trying out is blending fitness with shopping. They have a new concept, they are trying in a select ten stores. According to the Boston Globe[2] on October 5, 2013, these stores have fitness classes in the store like a traditional gym and sells shoes and other merchandise.

The chairs and benches are on wheels so they can be pushed aside for yoga class or Zumba class. They have mats by the wall that can be brought out for class times. They have a large poster on the wall with all the classes posted for all their visitor see. The Braintree store is one of the first 10 Reebook stores to have regular scheduled fitness classes in store. They call these stores Fithubs[3] .

They are hoping it will catch on and will become a trend all across the country. They are hoping the tennis shoes and aerobics[4] to make a comeback from the 1980s, when everyone did aerobics[5] . It was even featured in music videos.

Reebok is hoping that it will get other customers excited about fitness, however, they did sign a ten year agreement with Cross Fit, Inc[6] . Reebok will be featuring Cross fit[7] classes at their Fithub stores. There are approximately 50 Fithub Reebok stores located all over the world.
