This might sound all too familiar especially on a Monday, but who doesn't wish for more energy at least a hundred times a day?
Well as we hear time and time again a good night's sleep, regular exercise, and maintaining your daily stress can give you a much needed boost.
Let's be honest no one likes to diet, and there's so many choices now that claim to have the best results.
No carbs, low carbs, it's enough to make you give up before you even start.
But could that new healthy diet your on be what's completely draining your energy?
Our bodies rely on the energy, and nutrients we get from food. According to local health officials what you eat, how, and when you eat it can make a huge difference in your energy throughout the day. Every time you go more than two hours or more without eating your blood sugar drops making everything in your body start to slow down.
"A lot of foods are going to contain carbohydrates. Whether it's a fruit that's a healthy source, or a candy bar that's high in sugar and the
sweetened beverages, those sorts of things, they all contain carbs and when it's too much it can lead to weight gain, but it's eliminating those high calorie kinds of food and focusing on good carbs." said Kara Gilreath, Registered Dietitian at the Louis A. Johnson Veteran Memorial Hospital.
So what's the best way to maintain your healthy diet and stay energized? Well health officials say the ideal diet is made up of up to 55 % of carbs to help your body burn fat without making you lose energy.
