Want to get financially fit in 2014? Regions Bank is offering free financial fitness tips each Friday in the month of January.

Birmingham-based Regions Bank[1] wants to help you get in shape in the new year--financial shape, that is.

Regions will host free financial fitness events each Friday in the month of January.

“Through events like Financial Fitness Fridays, along with a wide range of tools, resources and personal advice, we’re encouraging people to take steps to ensure their long-term financial success,” said John Owen[2] , head of business groups for Regions, in a press release. “Providing this guidance and information is one way Regions is helping individuals and businesses make more informed financial decisions that are good for our customers, their families, employees and communities.”

Topics like budgeting, borrowing, investing and identity protection will be covered in the events, which will be held in more than 500 Regions branches across its footprint.

Regions is the largest bank by deposits in the Birmingham area[3] , with $10.5 billion.
