A fitness studio and boutique will open in February in the newly constructed Remington Pointe retail development at 69th and Western.
Form Fitness Studio Plus Boutique will offer group fitness classes, private training and new fitness clothing brands that transition from exercising to daily life, said Katie Twedt, co-owner. Classes will feature the BarreAmped program influenced by classical and modern dance. It also will offer Pilates, hot yoga, and showers and locker rooms for men and women.
The exercises, including BarreAmped, use isolated small movements and holding challenging poses, Twedt said. She and her business partner, Kia Weller, are trained instructors who grew up in the Brandon area and have moved back here after living elsewhere.
“All of our formats are focused more on creating that longer, leaner muscle,” Twedt said.
She has experience in business after opening two boutiques in Rapid City and Aberdeen but has sold those businesses, which remain open.
The women like the growing area of Remington Pointe and the convenience for people living in the area.
"We really feel strongly about this area. We obviously feel there are a lot of people looking for this fitness concept that is convenient as well,” Twedt said. “I really think we’re just seeing more traffic on this side of town.”
Their business will have 3,000 square feet of space at 2210 W. 69th St. and will offer both unlimited memberships and individual classes.
Form Fitness will be pre-selling memberships for half-price beginning today at Posh Boutique at 57th and Western.
