COLLIER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A local LA Fitness has added a security guard after a member brought handguns to the club.
Police say they were called to the LA Fitness in Collier Township last week for a member who was said to be harassing a staff member.
Police questioned the man, and searched his gym bag, finding two handguns.
Both guns were registered, and police say the man had a permit, so no charges were filed.
However, the club is hiring Collier Township police officers to provide extra security.
In 2009, three-women were killed by a gunman at the club.
