WATERLOO | The YWCA of Black Hawk County is partnering with Hy-Vee and the Blue Zones Project to host a free “Kids in the Kitchen” class Jan. 18.
People may bring their kids to the YWCA in downtown Waterloo and join Hy-Vee dietician Nicole Joyner for the class. Children will learn how to make some treats including Fruit Santa Hats, Banana Blizzards, Reindeer Ritz and Easy Make Cookies; all recipes are peanut-free.
The class is designed for children ages 4 to 10 with a caregiver and is free to attend. Two class sessions will be available beginning at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.; reservations are required.
