More than 80 male and female athletes from gyms across Western New York will take part in a fitness competition beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday in Athletes Unleashed CrossFit AU, 3687 California Road, Orchard Park.
Teams of two men and two women will try to be the fastest in completing a series of physical tasks that include rope climbing, running with 5-gallon water jugs, pushing weight sleds and swinging kettleballs.
Proceeds from entry fees will benefit Wings Flights of Hope, which provides free air transportation for medical or humanitarian needs.
