'Beat the Sugar Blues' and 'Keys to Healthy Eating' classes offered - Lincoln Journal Star

Do you crave sweets and wish you could break free from sugar cravings and emotional eating? Kristyn Hanquist, certified health coach, will discuss why sugar is so addictive and help class participants put together an action plan to kick their sugar habits for good at the Beat the Sugar Blues workshop Tuesday (Sept. 17) at 7 p.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Hanquist founded Balanced and Blessed Wellness and Health Coaching after suffering from infertility and, subsequently, allowing God to heal her body through diet and lifestyle changes. Her coaching focuses on women dealing with symptoms of hormonal imbalance, including infertility, PCOS, endometriosis, headaches, acne, anxiety, depression and stubborn weight.

Hanquist will again present the Beat the Sugar Blues workshop on Oct. 15 and Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. In addition, on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m., she will present “Ten Keys to Healthy Eating,” a workshop designed to help participants learn how to separate food fact from fiction. She will present the top ten steps to losing weight and living a healthier, more energetic life.

The workshops are free and will be held in the Vermeer Education Center on the northwest corner of the St. Mark’s campus at 8550 Pioneers Blvd. For more information call 402-489-8885.
