Fitness Chain Owner Reaches Agreement With State - WIBW

(WIBW) - A fitness chain's locations in Newton and Manhattan closed earlier this week by the Kansas Department of Revenue were reopened Friday.

On Wednesday, state revenue officials said Anytime Fitness branches owned by Gunderson LLC owed more than $19,000 in unpaid sales and individual income taxes. Revenue officers seized the bank accounts, on-site cash, and business and personal assets of owner Joshua Gunderson.

Friday, the Revenue Department said Gunderson reached an acceptable payment arrangement with the state. His assets were released and the business re-opened.
